  "Any item piece of equipment or product system, whether acquired commercially off the shelf, modified, or customized that is used to increase, maintain, or improve functional capabilities of children with disabilities.”

Assistive Technology:
Allows a student to access instruction and materials.
Provides a means for participation in the classroom activities.
Allows a student to demonstrate his/her knowledge and skills.
 
RCCSEC AT Team is:
A Procedural facilitator.
Available to evaluate, not implement.
A resource to obtain knowledge.
 
RCCSEC Team Will:
Provide information, knowledge and resources in regarding available AT ranging from Low to High Tech
Guide your team through the assessment process.
Assist your team to determine the tools, products, knowledge, and resources most appropriate for the student.
