The hearing itinerant department services to all children in Rural Champaign
County who have a hearing impairment. The two teachers in the department provide
direct, consultative, and monitoring services to these students. The teachers
also provide training to school staff. This training explains both what hearing
loss is and also how to best accommodate the children in the school environment. |
